Paiyo Urges People to Support Women’s Games
Kokomos Head Coach, Elias Paiyo, watched the Jillaroos play the Ferns for the first time on Friday night and was impressed with the quality of play.
A master of a big tackle himself, he was astounded at the physicality and impact of the tackling demonstrated by the girls.
“The girls from both sides had absolutely no fear. It took my breath away.”
“I highly recommend that people get out and support the womens teams. The quality of the women’s game demands attention.”

Maganis to Moresby – How You Can Help
Our Associate Touch Football club, QLD PNG Maganis, need your help to travel to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea in June 2017 for the National touch championships. Reason for this trip is to give our young players a chance to be selected in the national PNG team/squad.
From the nationals the PNG team will be selected for the up coming World cup in Malaysia and Pacific Games in Tonga in 2019. If we cannot get these young players up to Port Moresby for the national touch championship there will be no chance of being selected and will be unable to represent their home country. Our team have been training very hard and are looking forward to this trip however we really need your help.
We want to raise $5000 in order to help pay for airfares and accomodation and to ease some of the financial burden as these players will need to pay out of their own pocket, if we get more than $5000 it will be a blessing, every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.
