!

A big shout out to all the women in Rugby League, from the players, officials, committee members, canteen ladies, league safes and volunteers, women who keep the game, and the love, of rugby league alive.

Also a big shout out to the mums who run the 24/7 at-call taxi service ferrying kids, big and small, to training sessions and games and continue to inspire and fan the flames of rugby league success

THOUGHTS ON & EXPERIENCE PLAYING WITH KOKOMOS WOMENS IN QPICC 2016:
It’s an experience like no other. To see it start in 2015 with a bunch of women who had never played to last year’s event, I can say the experience was greater because we kept some (more experienced teams) on their feet.
THOUGHTS ON QLD PNG RUGBY LEAGUE ORGANISATION: I believe they are doing the best job they can with the amount of young teens, Men & Women involved here. Can honestly say I appreciate the opportunity they have created for all of us to continue playing.

PNG Hunters Kick Off their Intrust Cup Season Tonight

Saturday, 04 March 2017 by John Ten

2017 Intrust Cup Launch

The new look 2017 PNG Hunters kick off their Intrust Cup season tonight against the Central Queensland Capras. The Hunters will be hosted by the Capras at Browne Park with game scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start.

Much has been said about Coach Mark Marum’s off-season approach to ensuring that the Hunters are as fit and in-form as possible, and it will be interesting to see how that has both hardened the defensive line up and tightened up a more cohesive attacking unit.

I for one am looking forward to the Hunters play, that distinctive PNG flamboyance is always a delight to watch.

Let’s hope the PNG Hunters can go the distance in 2017 and capture that elusive QLD Intrust Cup Championship victory!
